It’s no secret that I LOVE chocolate! Especially dark chocolate.

Since working on my orthorexia recovery, I’ve been allowing myself to enjoy more chocolate. And it feels so good, both mentally and physically.

Plus, let’s not forget all of the amazing health benefits of dark chocolate:

  • Protection from disease-causing free radicals.
  • Potential cancer prevention.
  • Improved heart health.
  • Good for overall cholesterol profile.
  • Better cognitive function.
  • Blood pressure and blood sugar aid.
  • Antioxidant-rich superfood.

Grain Free, Gluten Free Chocolate Banana Bread

After enjoying my Sugar Free, Grain Free Banana Bread for a while, I wanted to try something more chocolaty.

I chose to make this one with a mix of almond flour and coconut flour because I love the taste of low carb flours. Coconut flour is my favourite, but it can be a bit tricky to bake with if that’s the only flour you’re using. Plus, it requires a LOT more eggs, which I can’t eat a lot of or else my digestion gets upset. Two eggs in a recipe is pretty good for me, whereas six eggs can affect me a lot more.

This Grain Free, Gluten Free Chocolate Banana Bread makes the perfect snack. I often have it with some sunbutter spread on top for an extra filling snack. Plus, it’s so easy to make, you’ll only use one bowl!
